Curriculum

Warlingham School offers a broad curriculum which aims to stimulate and challenge students with a focus on achievement. We are proud of our academic record, yet strive to make further advances each year.

While we fulfil National Curriculum requirements, our schemes of work and option choice structures allow for the varied needs and interests of students to be met through timetabled lessons and within the extensive enrichment programme.  We work in partnership with businesses, local schools and colleges and encourage students to extend their learning experiences by engaging in visits, community projects and international links.

Personal development is an important dimension of our Citizenship curriculum.  The Business & Enterprise ethos of the school impacts positively across the curriculum through the use of problem-solving and independent learning styles as well as through practical business applications in many subject areas.

Heads of Department work closely with our Gifted & Talented Co-ordinator to ensure that students are challenged at the highest levels within the timetabled curriculum.

The school's Learning & Development Department work with students' previous schools on entry to our school, to devise programmes and strategies that enable the child to be successful at Warlingham School.

Warlingham enjoys a good reputation for excellence in sports and the arts as evidenced by success in local competitions, exhibitions, concerts and productions.
