Sharman House Report July 2010
What a great year this has been, with Inter-House sports competitions, charity events including Sports Relief, Classwork Competition, Sports Day and Project Pinocchio. The atmosphere in the House has been excellent this term and seems to be building as we move towards the end of term.
Our Year 7s have settled in well and are making a positive contribution to the House and Warlingham School. They have had many special moments this term including some very successful school trips. Well done on the most recent trip to Thorpe Park. You have worked extremely hard week-by-week on your projects. Many of the Year 7 students have shown very strong leadership and team work skills. They really have done themselves, and the House, proud. I would like to wish all the whole year group well and I look forward to working with 7N and 7G next year. A special mention to Aleisha Pandya who managed to raise £240 for charity single-handedly.
As students gear up for the final few weeks of term, each year group has many activities to look forward to. Both 10N and 10G are now out on their work experience placements and I am very confident each student will do well during this great learning experience.
It has been a fantastic term all round with a wide range of competitions still to follow. The House is preparing for a very successful end to the competitions. We are anticipating that our drive and focus will help us excel at all the sporting activities including the fast approaching Sports Day, football and netball competitions.
Thank you to all the students involved in this year’s Prizegiving event including Jack Tandridge, Alex Riley and Shohidul Islam, all of whom have taken a lead in various areas. Well done!
Finally, a big ‘thank you’ to the House tutors, support staff, Miss Langley, Senior Leadership Team and all other members of staff who have contributed in making this term one to remember.
