Careers, Information, Advice & Guidance

Careers information, advice and guidance is an important subject at Warlingham School. Many opportunities to learn about careers will arise throughout the student's school life as illustrated in the mapping document below.  This learning is supplemented by work carried out during Tutor Periods, assemblies and the ‘rolling tutor programme' (when the whole school comes off timetable for one lesson approximately every three weeks to work with their tutors) as well as one-to-one interviews and small group work with the Connexions Team. An important part of our work happens during Year 9 through the Options Process, in Year 11 during preparation work for post-16 provision and in Key Stage 5 for life beyond school.  Students will also have the opportunity to complete a two week work experience placement during Year 10 and many students will have work-based activities throughout their courses, including within the BTEC and Applied courses.

What help and advice will I be given from Year 7 to 13?
