Breaking News From Warlingham School!
Warlingham School became a hive of activity on Thursday, 11th March, when 28 budding journalists took on the challenge of producing news stories for the BBC School Report project.

After a video introduction to the day by former teacher and current BBC News presenter, Huw Edwards, the Warlingham School reporters have been busy researching, interviewing, writing and editing their chosen news stories.

In addition, they participated in a World Record attempt along with more than 300 other schools to make the largest interactive weather report. Warlingham School students took time out of the ‘newsroom’ and gathered on the front lawn at approximately 9.15hrs to take a Celsius reading.

The temperature reading was then emailed in to the BBC Weather Centre, where they were all being compiled for a huge weather report later in the day. Watch the results of this project in the Video Zone and watch out for a student report in the next issue of the Warlingham School News.
