Arrangements for Friday, 15th January 2010
On Monday, 18th January we will revert to our normal school day. Please see notes below about public examination arrangements. Students must wear full school uniform (including having a change of footwear should they choose to wear boots for the journey to school) - note that “hoodies” are not allowed at school at all.
Public Examinations
Students sitting public examinations should arrive in school at the normal time. Morning examinations will begin at 8.45am and afternoon examinations will start at 1.45pm. If, for any reason, students are held up in their journeys on the way to a public examination, they should telephone the school on 01883 624067 extn 2032 or 2013 as a matter of urgency.
Thank you!
Thank you to students, staff and their families for their efforts over the past 10 days. Despite the variations to timetables and travel arrangements, people have responded extremely well so we are able to report good attendance, productive learning in school and excellent behaviour since the start of term. Candidates for public examinations have arrived on time and have been well-supported. We realise that the changing situation with regard to school opening and finishing times presented challenges to many families (and particularly to students in KS3 who missed more school than we would have liked whilst we put our more limited resources into protecting classes facing public examinations) and would like to thank you for your forbearance. We hope that the website updates have proved useful to students and parents and we will review how we can further improve communication for the future.
