The January modules are fast approaching and in readiness for this we have arranged exam revision sessions for Year 12 and 13 students. It is imperative that all students attend the sessions that are relevant to their subjects. Please see attached a list of the exam revision sessions. In addition to the exam revision sessions staff are also running booster sessions which run immediately prior to exams. All students must attend these booster sessions before their exams. Please see the booster session timetable by following the link below.

6TH FORM PARENTS EVENING WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY 14TH DECEMBER 2011 FROM 3.30PM TO 7.30 PM. YEAR 12 AND 13 STUDENTS HAVE BEEN ISSUED WITH LETTERS FOR PARENTS GIVING MORE INFORMATION, TOGETHER WITH AN APPOINTMENT SHEET SO THAT THE STUDENTS CAN MAKE THEIR APPOINTMENTS DIRECTLY WITH THEIR SUBJECT TEACHERS. PARENTS ARE ASKED TO MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND APPOINTMENTS. HOWEVER, IF PARENTS ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE APPOINTMENT, STUDENTS MUST STILL ATTEND AT THE ALLOCATED TIME. TEACHERS WILL BE IN THE MAIN HALL OR A3, SEATED IN SUBJECT AREAS. PLEASE ARRIVE IN GOOD TIME TO FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN IN ON YOUR ARRIVAL.

THE SCHOOL SPONSORED WALK WILL BE TAKING PLACE ON FRIDAY 21ST OCTOBER 2011. YEAR 12 STUDENTS WILL ALL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE WALK. YEAR 13 STUDENTS WILL BE OFF TIMETABLE BUT WORKING IN SCHOOL, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A SMALL NUMBER OF STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN GRANTED PERMISSION TO STUDY AT HOME OR TAKE PART IN THE SPONSORED WALK IF THEY SO WISH.

On Friday 18th November 2011 we will be taking all Year 12 students to the Dorking Halls to see the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service brand new presentation of “Safe Drive, Stay Alive”.

In October 2010 the Government took the decision to close the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) scheme at the end of the Academic Year (2010/11). In its place a new Bursary Fund has been set up to help students in need of financial support to continue in full-time education. There are transitional arrangements for some of those who are currently in receipt of EMA.

This year's Graduation Ceremony will be taking place at the Hilton Hotel on Purley Way on Tuesday 13th September 2011 at 7.00 pm. Please let us know as soon as possible how many seats you will require (including your son/daughter) Please email Kerry at seshank@warlingham.surrey.sch.uk.
