We would like to invite you to our Open Evening on Monday, 27th September 2010. An introductory talk will take place in the main hall at 7pm for prospective students and their parents. Visit department areas, see displays of AS/A Level, Applied GCE and BTEC work and talk to staff and current Sixth Formers.

Former Warlingham student, Jonathan Ball, is an intellectual property lawyer based in London. Named in industry publication, Chambers UK 2010, as “a big name for the future,” Jonathan, left Warlingham Sixth Form in 1988 to study Biochemistry at the University of Bristol. In 1991, Jonathan left Bristol with a 1st in Biochemistry and took on the role of forensic scientist for the Metropolitan Police working on general forensic casework in violent crime, specialising in DNA profiling.

Warlingham School’s Sixth Form Charity Committee has been awarded The Diana Award for their contribution to community cohesion. The committee which comprises Year 13 students, Georgia Thomas, Becky Earl, Lucy Soale, Natalie Lynch, Daniel Skegg, Daniel Scudamore, Jennifer Robbins, Jade Campbell, Katie James, Paige Clay, Michael Rackett, Owen Eacott, Chris Beckett, Chris Steward, Nick Hawkins and led by Sophie-May Lobley, raised over £3,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign, Sports Relief and Mind charities. Their fundraising efforts were rewarded as a result of organising a series of charity events such as Hawaiian, pyjama and ‘stereotypes’ theme days, parties and cake sales during which all Sixth Formers participated in and donated money.

Warlingham School hosted their first Business & Economics conference on Wednesday, 20th January 2010, ‘Survival of the Fittest’, for A Level students at Warlingham and other local schools and colleges. Guest speakers from retail giants, Sainsbury’s and Ann Summers and smaller businesses, Domino’s Pizza and The Designplan Group supported this inaugural event by talking to the delegates about topics related to their courses: ‘Big Is Better’, ‘...But Small Is Beautiful’, ‘You Can Grow When Times Are Hard’ and ‘...But You Must Manage Your Way Through Change’

Students must wear full school uniform (including having a change of footwear should they choose to wear boots for the journey to school) - note that “hoodies” are not allowed at school at all

Warlingham School is delighted to announce some of its best ever A Level results this year and would like to congratulate its students on their outstandingly successful performance this year. The A-E pass rate achieved was an impressive 98% and the A – B grade % performance has also continued to improve to 43%. These results endorse the recent Ofsted judgement which again judged the Sixth Form as ‘outstanding’
