For an exceptional leader with vision, energy and commitment, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to build on your career. There is scope to further develop the curriculum to bring about positive impact on student learning and leadership in our popular comprehensive School and Sixth Form college. We offer a solid base on which to build for the future in an educational context of both opportunities and challenges. You will have the support of a strong school team, local governance and the board of Trustees, who are all keen to welcome you. As a community, we work together to create a caring environment in which individuals can grow intellectually, emotionally and socially.

The Governors of Warlingham School & Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational leader who can realise the school’s commitment to raise aspirations and truly broaden horizons for all our students. Following a significant change as we moved from a single academy to a multi-academy trust and the realignment of leadership responsibilities, the school now requires a permanent leader to shape and advance the School and Sixth Form provision.

We can offer:

  • A dedicated staff and very capable senior leadership team
  • Commitment to your professional development
  • The chance to be part of a growing Trust which is committed to collaboration, sharing best practice and professional learning
  • A positive financial position with potential for new planning and projects
  • Extensive, well-maintained facilities which include 25m indoor swimming pool, floodlit multi-purpose pitch, tennis and netball courts and a fitness suite

Set on the edge of the North Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty, the school has good commuter links.

We believe that local schools working positively together can transform the life chances of students in our community, enabling them to thrive and succeed.  Applications are invited from professionals who welcome challenge, are accomplished communicators who can inspire and motivate teams and have the ability to strengthen the positive momentum prevalent at the school. Please take the opportunity to visit the school to see for yourself all we have to offer.

Please contact Judith Standen, HR Manager, if you would like further information or to arrange a visit: or call 01883 776677 x2014.   If you would find it beneficial to have a conversation with the Chief Executive Officer or the Chair of Local Governing Committee, this can also be facilitated.

We would encourage you to apply and look forward to receiving your application.
