Welcome to the Sixth Form

Happy and Successful Students

Warlingham Sixth Form has a friendly and caring atmosphere with myself, the Heads of Year, and the team of Sixth Form tutors always available for advice and encouragement - I believe that the support, care and guidance provided by our dedicated teaching and support staff is second-to-none.

Expectations are high and to realise them we encourage self-discipline and motivation. As a result achievement is excellent and every year a large percentage of our students progress to university, a significant number to Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.  We are however a truly inclusive and comprehensive Sixth Form which caters for students with a wide range of abilities, many of whom choose to move into apprenticeships or the world of work at the end of their two years here.

A dedicated programme of advice and guidance throughout year 12 culminating in our Aim Higher week in July ensures that all students are clear about the options and possibilities available to them at the end of their year 12 and 13.

At the core of everything we do is a commitment to the Warlingham Advance Award. All students are encouraged to become actively included in academic study, the development of employability skills, enrichment and active citizenship in the community, and work experience.  They are also actively involved in activities which will develop them as all round individuals and enhance their understanding of British Values and their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

There are a wide variety of enrichment opportunities as part of the study programmes including Debating, Young Enterprise, EPQ, Cooking for College, Art of relaxation, Core Sport, CSLA and Duke of Edinburgh. All these options ensure that Warlingham graduates are well-rounded and well prepared for their applications post 18.

I look forward to welcoming you to the open evening, or at another time, should you be unable to attend the evening.
